Originally known as Whiting’s Pond, named after the Whiting family, who operated a mill there in the seventeenth century, Lake Pearl is a gorgeous place filled with towering pine trees, excellent refreshments, and stunning views. In 1885, William Enegren purchased the land and renamed it Lake Pearl in honor of his daughter, who died as a toddler.
In the 1900s, Lake Pearl included a 40-foot power launch, a merry-go-round, boats and canoes, a dance pavilion, a dining pavilion, an outdoor silent movie theater, and a bathing beach. People came from all over to visit the park, and by the 1920s, this park was a popular location for business and events.
The park’s ballroom, King Philip Ballroom, attracted big bands and famous musicians. Although the Hurricane of 1938 caused damage to the site, Lake Pearl Park has continued to grow over the years. It’s now a popular site for events and weddings. Furthermore, new owners improved the grounds and added elements such as chandeliers, Roman columns, and tents.

Lake Pearl in Wrentham includes 25 acres of gorgeous lakeside property, with indoor and outdoor spaces available for events.
The most popular venue for receptions is the Tree Top Room, a private banquet hall with:
- views of Lake Pearl,
- panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, and
- a spacious dance floor.
Additionally, it can accommodate 130 guests and includes access to an outdoor deck, garden, and gazebo.
Secondly, The Grand Ballroom can host up to 550 guests and includes crystal chandeliers, polished hardwood floors, and natural lighting.
The venue has two outdoor spaces that are relaxed and elegant. The Victorian Tent includes access to the estate’s private beach. It is located on a concrete slab and consists of a wooden dance floor, chandeliers, and getting-ready rooms. Adjacent to the Victorian Tent is the Boathouse Pavilion, which can host up to 150 guests.
