Roberta and Gerald Saphire purchased Daub’s Highland Manor in 1977 and renamed it the Saphire Manor and Inn. For over 40 years, the Saphire family has been pursuing their passion for creating once-in-a-lifetime events for their clients. It accommodates vacationers, tourists, and celebrities who visit during summer.
In 2006, the Saphire’s son Jonathan and his wife Amiee took over ownership. They launched it as Saphire Estate, investing in a huge remodel that still retained the property’s historic charm. Saphire Estate is known across the South Shore as the perfect New England venue, featuring lakefront property, landscaped grounds, and a beautiful ballroom.
For over 40 years, the Saphire family has hosted couples and their wedding guests with spectacular events. The family owns three venues: Saphire Estate, The Villa, and Avenir. Moreover, each of these venues serves as a gorgeous backdrop for the wedding of a lifetime!

Saphire Estate can accommodate up to 270 seated guests (without a dance floor) or 240 guests with a dance floor. The venue’s charming manor house and sprawling grounds celebrate the beauty of New England style.
Tucked along the banks of Lake Massapoag, Saphire Estate features lakefront views, lavish fountains, lush gardens, and picturesque woods. The venue’s newly-constructed cocktail space features a cozy fireplace, gold chandeliers, and a quartz bar top. Wedding packages include the use of the entire estate, allowing couples to enjoy the gorgeous grounds and modern amenities with privacy.
