As a dedicated wedding photographer, my primary goal is to ensure my clients have an unforgettable experience. I firmly believe that a photographer’s role extends beyond just taking great pictures; it involves being a calming presence amidst the hustle and bustle of the big day. And that was precisely the scene at Elyse and Ryan’s wedding at Log Cabin in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
Weddings can be whirlwinds of emotions and unexpected hiccups, and this one was no exception. There were moments of chaos and anxiety, from the bride forgetting her shoes and veil to the hair and makeup artists running a bit behind schedule. However, my mission was never derailed. I was there through the highs and lows, providing a reassuring presence. And you know what? It worked. Despite all the chaos and last-minute hitches, Elyse and Ryan had the most radiant smiles all day, and the photos are a testament to this!
Weddings can sometimes be an overwhelming whirl of emotions and activities. And it couldn’t have been more true than at Elyse and Ryan’s wedding. From the moment Elyse stepped into the venue, stress was written all over her face. She had left her shoes at the hotel, and her hair and makeup session took longer than expected. Plus, the clock was ticking faster than anyone would have liked. But amidst this frenzy, her bridesmaids and I were with her, ensuring she felt calm and helping her navigate through the storm of emotions and time crunch.
In a quiet corner of the room, amidst the hustle and bustle, Elyse put pen to paper, pouring out her heart in a letter to Ryan. Even in the midst of the rush, Elyse managed to gather her thoughts and seal her letter with lots of love. So yes, weddings can be chaotic, but it’s a beautiful mess! It’s about finding those moments of calm within the storm, making memories, and celebrating love.
In the midst of all the last-minute adjustments, Elyse was a vision in white. Donned in her wedding dress, she was the epitome of beauty and elegance. Yes, the day didn’t unfold exactly as she’d planned, but you know what? It all came together beautifully in the end. Instead of a couple’s first look, Elyse had a heartwarming moment with her dad.
My couple chose to exchange letters – a decision that added a personal touch to their day. I managed to capture some touching images of Ryan and Elyse reading their letters, with their eyes welling up with tears. Oh, how I wished I could’ve known what those loving words were! As I made my way over to the boys, Ryan and his groomsmen remained cool as cucumbers, making the most of the extra time by posing for fun group shots.
When it was time to walk down the aisle, Elyse hit another bump in the road – her veil was still at the hotel! But despite running behind schedule, she took it all in stride. I made sure to keep her grounded and reminded her of the joy that lay ahead. And the photos are proof – her smile couldn’t have been brighter or more genuine.
Elyse and Ryan’s ceremony took place at the fabulous Log Cabin in Holyoke. It’s one of my absolute favorite venues. The team there is always so attentive to guests and vendors alike, and let’s not even get started on those breathtaking views that look good in every season! Each person was there to witness and participate in this special milestone in Elyse and Ryan’s lives, offering their blessings and love. The couple exchanged their vows amidst nature’s grandeur, their bond deepening with each word.
Despite the late start to the ceremony, we managed to catch up during the photo session, getting Elyse and Ryan back on track just in time for their reception. Once the ceremony was done and dusted, everything rolled on without a hitch. The newlyweds were positively beaming, clearly thrilled to be husband and wife.
Ryan and Elyse were all about having fun and making the day their own. In a twist on tradition, they swapped the conventional wedding cake for a pizza. Isn’t that just the coolest? The late-night pizza wasn’t just any pizza, though. It was ordered from Roseland Apizza in Derby, Connecticut, a restaurant owned by Elyse’s mom’s family. The delicious treat was a hit, and everyone loved it! It was the cherry on top of a day that, though a bit chaotic at times, was filled with so much love and laughter.
Ryan and Elyse, thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer. It was a day packed with unexpected situations, but you handled it like pros. I am so glad to have been there for you guys! Congratulations on your new beginning, and I wish you all the love and happiness.
